Following the success of our FE Series, the FE-SL (Slim Line) subwoofers were developed to give budget-conscious builders and new bassheads an affordable, shallow-mount solution that doesn’t compromise on quality. Designed for tight-space installs, stealth builds, and efficient systems, the FE-SL delivers impressive output in the most compact form factor we've ever offered.
Engineered from the ground up, the FE-SL line takes proven elements from our flagship products and adapts them for low-depth applications. These are not off-the-shelf shallow drivers—each one features an all-new tooled SHCA shallow basket and an underhung motor design to optimize mounting depth without sacrificing motor strength or mechanical control. From the surround to the terminals, every detail was intentionally designed to perform in real-world builds.
To solve common shallow-mount problems, we added a tall-profile gasket to prevent surround rubbing in tight enclosures, and a custom spider spacer ring with venting to support larger spiders than typically found on budget shallows. Sewn, silicone-coated tinsel leads are routed cleanly through the frame, while Sky High-branded red/black heat shrink finishes off the wiring into true push terminals—a rare upgrade in this size and price class. An oversized lightweight dustcap keeps moving mass down and efficiency up, making these subs easy to power even on entry-level amps.
All FE-SL models share a uniform basket and dustcap design, giving your build a clean, consistent look whether you're running one sub or a full array. Available in 8", 10", and 12", each model is offered in dual 2Ω and dual 4Ω configurations, making system planning simple.
Just like the original FE line, the FE-SL Series is tested using DATS-LA, with specs collected after full mechanical break-in and off-surface backplate positioning. That means you’re getting real data—not inflated spec-sheet numbers.
