After years of development, trial and error, and decades immersed in the car audio industry, the BMX Series from Sky High Car Audio represents the culmination of everything we’ve learned from competing, building, and manufacturing elite-level subwoofers. With deep roots in the basshead community and ownership in some of the most respected brands in the industry, the BMX line is the next evolution in high-performance bass — engineered for output, endurance, and everyday abuse.
At its core, the BMX Series is a high-excursion, true-to-size subwoofer built for clean, controlled power. Each model features a 3” 8-layer high-temp voice coil and a triple-stacked Y35 ferrite motor structure with an aluminum shorting ring, pole vents, and drilled/tapped backplate holes for enhanced cooling or reinforced mounting. Completing the motor assembly is a tooled SHCA magnet boot, combining functionality with a sleek, all-black aesthetic.
Mechanically, the BMX Series delivers massive excursion with precise control thanks to a spaced stacked spider pack, fiberglass-reinforced cone support, and hardened paper cone with a recessed carbon fiber dust cap for strength and reduced flex. A secondary pressure cap adds rigidity under high stress, while 4-gauge push terminals ensure consistent current flow. The precision-molded foam surround and optimized suspension design allow for extreme output while maintaining musical accuracy.
Designed with a low FS and high BL, the BMX Series plays effortlessly across the full bass frequency range—whether you’re after smooth daily lows or competition-level SPL. The BMX Series isn’t a one-note wonder; it’s the perfect balance of musicality, power, and reliability.
Customization Options (10” and Up)
Each BMX subwoofer 10” and larger is available with full in-house customization, hand-assembled at our Sparks, NV facility to your specifications.

Connection Options: Standard with heavy-duty push terminals, with the option to upgrade to direct leads for competition or custom builds.
Powder-Coated Baskets: Choose from hundreds of colors using premium Prismatic Powder finishes.

Every Sky High Car Audio subwoofer frame is finished using premium Prismatic Powder coatings for a durable, high-end look that stands up to heat, vibration, and wear.
Single-Stage Finish:
A single-layer color application offering a solid, clean finish. Durable and cost-effective, perfect for classic tones like Gloss Black or other solid colors.
Two-Stage Finish:
A color base coat topped with a clear or transparent layer for incredible depth and shine. Ideal for metallics, illusion, or candy finishes such as Illusion Purple or Blueberry Candy.
Box Designs by EZ DB’s
Sky High Car Audio is proud to partner with Hunter Martin of EZ DB’s, one of the most respected enclosure designers in the industry. We offer FREE box designs—including ported, 4th order, and 6th order options—tailored specifically for our subwoofers to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
As a bonus, customers who purchase four or more BMX, FMX, or FXXL subwoofers directly from Sky High Car Audio will receive a $50 credit toward a custom enclosure design from EZ DB’s.
Every SHCA subwoofer is DATS-LA tested after full break-in with the backplate off the surface, ensuring precise and trustworthy TS parameters.
